Amazon Aroma was born as a small undertaking. Our aim was to combine environmental respect, social development, fair trade, and to work with women. All this combined with Ecuadorian mega-diversity and ancestral knowledge of local communities. We wanted to rescue alternative medicine practices that could be blended with the unexplored area of aromas; rescue the mystical and exotic herbs used by indigenous peoples (more than 90% of the medicinal plants they use have not been studied by modern science) and enter into the world of the natural and organic.

For a long time, Ecuador was an exporter of raw materials such as Quinine, sangre de drago or guayusa. The country’s mega diversity and potential of medicinal plants has yet to be discovered.
